About me
My name is Eleanor-Rose Barr and I am from Barnsley in South Yorkshire. My interest in Counselling began almost 30 years ago when I enrolled in a youth counselling course at school. I went on to study psychology at college and university before taking a break. However, it was never far from my thoughts and I undertook small online courses that developed me and deepened my interest in others. I took the plunge and enrolled at college to properly qualify as a Person-Centred Counsellor.
I am now fully qualified to level 4 diploma in counselling and an accredited registered member of NCPS (National Psychotherapy and Counselling Society.
I love to learn, this not only means continuing studying counselling and ways to help my clients but also learning about each client as an individual.
I follow the person-centred approach which means the focus is on the individual. Their experiences, feelings, thoughts and behaviours. You are the expert on yourself and I am with you to support and help you to help yourself, to explore the person you feel you are and the person you want to be.
I will provide a calming and safe environment in which you can speak freely without fear of judgement.
